Who we are

Pharos Insurance Group LLC (“Pharos,” “we,” “us”) is a licensed insurance agency located in Fort Myers, FL. This policy covers pharosins.com, our web forms, and calls, texts and emails with us. Contact: sales@pharosins.com or (305) 776-9420.

What we collect

What you give us on our forms: name, business name, phone, email, preferred language, garaging ZIP, authority status, USDOT or MC number, number of trucks, equipment and what you haul, operating radius, start date, certificate holder details, and anything you write in a message.
What you give us by phone, text or email, including documents you email or text us to get a quote or service a policy, such as loss runs, dec pages, VIN lists and authority letters. We don’t record phone calls.
Information we get to quote or service your coverage, such as driving records, loss runs and public FMCSA records, when you ask us to quote or service a policy.
Website data: our site runs on Squarespace. Squarespace collects standard data like IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and referring site, using cookies and similar tools, to run the site and give us visitor analytics. Our forms use spam protection (such as Google reCAPTCHA), which may collect device and usage data.

Please don’t put Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, or bank or card details in our web forms. Driver’s license and CDL details and documents like loss runs, dec pages, VIN lists and authority letters can be emailed to sales@pharosins.com, texted to (305) 776-9420 or given to us by phone, whichever is easiest. Never send Social Security numbers or bank or card details by email or text. We never ask for bank details by email or text. Payments are made only through the secure payment page shown on your policy or finance company bill.

How we use it

To answer your requests, prepare quotes and service your policies
To contact you by phone, email or text, in the language you choose
To send certificates and documents you ask for
To run, secure and improve the website and stop spam
To keep records and meet legal and regulatory duties

Others we need to work with to handle your request and service your coverage, only as needed.
People you ask us to send things to, such as certificate holders.
Service providers that help us run our business, such as Squarespace (website and form storage), our email and phone providers, and spam protection. They handle information under their own terms and privacy notices; see the Squarespace privacy policy and the Google privacy policy (reCAPTCHA spam protection) for how they process it.
When the law requires it, or to protect rights and safety.

We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Text messages

You opt in to texts only through the optional checkbox on our web forms. If you opt in, we text you about your quote or service request and related policy servicing. We don’t send marketing texts. We don’t share or sell your mobile number or text opt-in data with anyone for their marketing. Consent to texts isn’t a condition of buying anything. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. We record and honor opt-outs. See our Text Messaging Terms.

Cookies and analytics

Squarespace sets cookies needed for the site to work, plus analytics cookies that tell us how visitors use the site. You can make choices in the cookie banner and change them later with the Cookie preferences option at the bottom of the screen, or by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser so the banner shows again. You can also block cookies in your browser. We don’t use advertising pixels.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Know what personal information we have about you, and get a copy
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your information
Opt out of sale, targeted advertising and certain profiling (we don’t do these)
Appeal our decision on your request

We respond to these requests where required by law, and we’ll consider requests from anyone. Email sales@pharosins.com or call (305) 776-9420. We’ll confirm your identity before acting, and you can use an authorized agent. We won’t treat you differently for using your rights. Some information connected to insurance is covered by other laws, and we may need to keep certain records.

Policy privacy notices

If you buy a policy, you may get separate privacy notices for that policy. This policy still describes how we handle your information.

Security and retention

We use reasonable safeguards for the information we hold. No website or email is completely secure, which is why we ask you not to put Social Security numbers or bank or card details in web forms, and why we never ask for bank details by email or text. We keep information as long as we need it for the reasons above and for our legal and record-keeping duties.

Children

Our site is for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

We’ll post updates here and change the effective date.
